WHO’S CARL?
Lion's Share FCU would like to introduce you to CARL, our Credit Union Automated Response Line. CARL gives you 24-hour access to your account information here at your Credit Union.
You may use the system at any time from any touch-tone telephone. We believe that you will find CARL easy to use, convenient, and confidential. To provide greater security regarding your account, we will not give out balances over the phone, but you can use CARL for balance inquiries.
You will need your base account number and your CARL PIN (Personal Identification Number). This specialized PIN is for CARL only and does not match any other PIN you may have from the Credit Union. If you write your PIN down somewhere, please keep it secure. You may change your PIN at any time by calling CARL. If you forget your PIN call the office at (704) 636-0643 or 1-800-889-2393 and we will reset it for you. Remember, it’s important to keep your PIN confidential.
CARL has been given a whole new structure to give the kind of automated account information and transaction capability that you need. Following are directions for accessing CARL and a description of the menu you will hear upon reaching CARL when you call Lion's Share FCU:

To Access CARL press 1, for Current Rates press 2.
Enter your Base Account number followed by the pound (#) key.
Enter your Personal Identification Number followed by the pound key.
For Summary Account Information, press 1. This option will give you your current Credit Union balances in all deposit and loan accounts.
For Detail Account Information, press 2. This option will give further detailed information like last dividend received and loan payoff information, plus more!
For Account Activity Information, press 3 . This option will give detailed information like most recent transactions, deposits, withdrawals, checks cleared, and ATM and Debit Card transactions.
To perform a transfer or withdrawal, press 4. This option will allow you to transfer money money from one sub account to another, under the same base account number. It will also allow you to withdrawal money from your account and have a check sent to the store number that we have on file or to the the home address that we have on file.
To check current rates, press 5. This option will give you our current rates.
To change your PIN, press 6. This option will allow you to change your PIN for the automated system only. You will need to know your current PIN (this information is sent out in your blue packet when your account is opened), then you have the option of selecting a new PIN.
(Helpful Hints)
- Select a PIN you can easily memorize and try not to write it down. The Credit Union staff can reset your PIN if you forget it.
- Try to know your base account number and sub-account numbers as they are shown on your statement.
- Listen to the instructions carefully and follow them exactly.
- You may perform transactions on your account only. Neither transactions nor inquiries may be performed on other accounts.
We are proud to re-introduce CARL and think that you’ll like him much better since he’s been improved. He’s now faster, gives more information, and is easier to use.
