IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR 2001
Beginning February 19, 2001 the Credit Association is changing the company who processes our ATM transactions. Several changes will occur on that date:
- Our cards will be able to work at any STAR network location. Several stores have ATM machines that accept the HONOR network. These are the same.
- Our current daily limit is $100.00 per day. After February 19 you can withdraw up to $500.00 daily if you have sufficient funds in your account.
- The ATM system will now know account balances as of particular dates and times. DO NOT use the ATM machines to keep up with your account balances. They will not be updated on a continual basis!
- FOR OUR NORTH CAROLINA CARDHOLDERS: You will still be able to withdraw funds from any CashPoints machine but we will not be able to accept any deposits after February 18, 2001.
- Our ATM cards will have a new design. New cardholders will immediately receive the new design and existing cardholders will receive the new design upon expiration of your current card.

VISA CHECK DEBIT CARD
Instead of carrying around a checkbook, why not pull out a Visa Check Card? Make purchases easier with the convenience of carrying your checking account in one plastic card. Our Visa Check Card can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted. It also works as an ATM card anywhere that you can find a machine with the STAR or PLUS logos. Finally, it can be used as a point-of-purchase card so you can buy your groceries from Food Lion and then ask for cash back with that order as well. Make life easy on yourself. Stop taking time to write all those checks, use your Food Lion Credit Association Visa Check Card instead.
(As of October 1, 2000 this service is in the testing phase. We anticipate having the card available to our members in just weeks.)
ATM CARD
You can enjoy the convenience of easy access to your Food Lion Credit Association accounts with your CASH POINTS Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) card. Your money will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at locations all around the world.
You can withdraw cash from your checking and savings accounts at any CASH POINTS machine when you’re in North Carolina or at any PLUS network machine worldwide. You may also make deposits and transfer funds between your accounts at CASH POINTS machines only. CASH POINTS machines are conveniently located throughout the state of North Carolina. To find the nearest PLUS machine, call 1-800-THE-PLUS.
If you have sufficient funds available, you can withdraw up to $100.00 per day from your accounts. The card is free. If you have a checking account with us and it is accessible with your ATM card, you can perform up to four withdrawals per month with no service fee. If your ATM card only accesses your savings account, you can perform two withdrawals per month with no service fee. After the allowed free withdrawals, a $1.00 fee per each transaction will be charged. A $5.00 fee will be charged if you need to replace your ATM card or PIN number.
If you want to apply for our ATM card, please contact us and we will send you an application to sign. Once we receive the application back we will send your card and then your PIN number separately for safety. PIN numbers are randomly selected and are not able to be personalized at this time. Your card is the property of the Food Lion Credit Association and is subject to surrender to the Credit Association upon demand.
